For organisations · Leadership Health Check

Turn existing capability into a visible leadership pathway.

Who is ready to lead? Who is being overlooked? And what is stopping capable people from taking the next step? The Health Check gives your business a focused place to start.

Business planning tools and stepped blocks representing clear goals and development

A practical review of your leadership environment

We work with the business sponsor to examine the expectations, opportunities and everyday leadership practices that shape progression. Bring the real issues: a succession gap, inconsistent management, unclear promotion criteria or talented people who cannot see a future with you.

The review looks across six diagnostic pillars:

  • Leadership expectations: what good leadership looks like, and whether people understand what is expected.
  • Capability and readiness: what evidence you have of people leading—not simply who has been named as potential—and where demonstrated skills and experience are underused.
  • Access to opportunity: who receives meaningful work, projects, acting roles, mentoring, sponsorship, feedback and decision authority—and how those opportunities are allocated.
  • Succession exposure: where the business relies on one person, what needs to happen before someone can step up, and whether workload, decision authority, support and workable flexibility make the next role realistic.
  • Leadership follow-through: how development conversations become actions with owners and review dates.
  • Women’s progression: where access, readiness, applications, appointments or retention stall—examining available evidence without stereotyping or exposing small groups.

Women’s progression is a particular focus. We look at the conditions that allow capability to be recognised and used, alongside the commercial needs of the business.

How it works

01 · PREPARE

Agree the focus

Confirm the business unit, the question you want answered and the scope. Share up to two relevant documents, such as role expectations, a development plan or a succession outline.

02 · REVIEW

Work through the evidence

Use the three-hour session to test assumptions, identify gaps and agree where action will make the most difference. The review reflects the evidence supplied and the sponsor discussion.

03 · PRIORITISE

Leave with a clear starting point

Receive a concise snapshot and up to three practical priorities. Identify who owns the actions and what progress would look like.

04 · CHECK IN

Review what moved

Use the included 30-minute check-in to review action taken, obstacles and next steps. Your business owns implementation of the 90-day plan.

From findings to a working pathway

If the review identifies a need for deeper work, we can separately scope a Leadership Pathway Plan, development assignments or coaching and mentoring. The A$1,700 + GST Health Check is a focused sponsor-led review. A full multi-interview diagnostic, employee survey, ongoing 90-day support and program delivery are separate engagements.

The review supports leadership development and business planning. It is not a workplace investigation or legal compliance certification.

For employers

A focused review or a deeper diagnostic?

The A$1,700 + GST review remains a three-hour sponsor-led engagement for one unit, with up to two supplied documents, a written snapshot and one progress check-in. The review covers the six diagnostic pillars at a focused level; it does not add employee interviews, workforce surveys or unlimited analysis.

A full Leadership Health Check program examines representative employee and leader evidence across the same six diagnostic pillars in more depth. The report, evidence collection, delivery period, follow-up and fee are agreed separately. Findings from the focused review are not presented as an independent assessment of the whole workforce.
